How to Print Free Lottery Tickets with AI

Buying lottery tickets probably isn’t the best long-term strategy to accumulate wealth. You know that. Statistically, each ticket’s expected value (probability of winning * prize amount) is less than what you paid for it.

But what if those lottery tickets were free? That would change things, wouldn’t it? You’d want to collect as many as you possibly could.

Marginal AI compute is largely a free resource for you. I explained that in more detail here. The basic gist: if you have an AI subscription, it likely doesn’t cost you anything to use it more than you are right now.

What I’m suggesting is that you use this free compute to print lottery tickets.

No, we’re not trying to counterfeit Powerball here. There are other types of lottery tickets subsumed within this broader concept:

Positive optionality means creating situations where good things can happen, but bad outcomes are limited.

I want you to exploit AI to maximize your positive optionality.

I don’t like how most other people try to convince you that AI can change your life. Lots of automating this and posting on LinkedIn about that, and “here’s what I did, so you can do it too, even though your life and skills and monetization physics are completely different than mine.”

So I’ve been building the bullshit-free version of all of that. There is no certainty. I don’t have a plan for you. I can’t tell you what AI monetization looks like for you. What I can do is give you the toolbox to figure it out for yourself.

But there was something missing from that box. Most people just aren’t very comfortable with uncertain outcomes. And AI is bringing you to the height of uncertainty. If you learn Codex, will that help you get promoted? If you post more often on LinkedIn, will anything happen? If you launch a digital product, will anyone actually buy it?
