Have you tried Nano Banana Pro?

It’s incredibly powerful. And so much FUN.

And if you’re not sure how to start, I recommend this:

Write your own comics. Good ones. In minutes.

It’s going to be a blast. But not just that. The comic is actually an extremely dense, high signal form of communication. It can capture attention quickly, and do a lot of intellectual work to prime your audience for the rest of your message.

I’m going to show you what I mean, with examples.

Paid subscribers, you’ll also get the exact prompt workflow I used to develop everything in this article.

Let’s have some fun.

COMIC AS COMMENTARY

There’s something I’ve been wanting to say for quite some time:

AI didn’t create our “slop” problem.

COMIC AS SELF-AUDIT

What are you ridiculously, comically, bad at?

For me, it’s this: I hate administrative tasks, no matter how simple they are. I put them off, endlessly. It’s not good.

Are you struggling with something that should be simple, but just, for some reason, isn’t? Make a comic about it. It will help you see things differently.

COMIC AS SYNTHESIS

Last week, I published an article depicting how intelligent aliens might interpret our American obsession with the NFL playoffs.

I was mostly happy with the end product, but it felt somewhat LONG.

With Nano Banana Pro, I can distill the essence of this entire article into something you can process in less than a minute:

COMIC AS UNAPOLOGETIC WEIRDNESS

Sometimes we humans think the strangest things, right?

Where do all those bizarre ideas come from?

They just seem to happen, continuously.

You’ll be walking along and suddenly you think:

If I were e, I’d be jealous that pi gets a lot more attention.

Well, maybe you won’t think exactly that, because that’s my brand of weirdness. But I’m quite sure you have your own, and I’d love to see it channeled into a comic like this:

USE THIS WORKFLOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN COMICS WITH NANO BANANA

For the first few rounds, I didn’t use a workflow.

I just prompted Nano Banana: can you draw a comic? here’s my idea: [describe]

The results were somewhat mediocre, for a few reasons:

  • I often didn’t like the way it interpreted my idea

  • The text felt “too AI”

  • Lots of typos and mistakes, which were annoying to edit

So I thought: let’s develop an optimized workflow for comics!

It should:

  • Make the experience collaborative, so that AI deeply understands what I really want

  • Provide me multiple opportunities to react and edit

  • Capture my voice and style

  • Minimize annoying errors and typos

  • Still be quick. Less than 10 minutes to create a comic from scratch.

The workflow that I developed meets all of these conditions, and was used to generate all of the comics in this article.

Here it is:
