State of the Substack
Dear 1101 new friends, where do we go from here?
Dear Prompt Experimenters,
The time has come to talk of many things! Between prompts, I wanted to reach out with some announcements regarding our growing substack community.
#1 THANK YOU
My goal for the first two months was 100 subscribers. We’re now at 1101! I am incredibly grateful for your support! If you are receiving this email, I will always consider you a founding member of this community.
#2 FREE VS. PAID-ONLY CONTENT
I turned on my “paid” section for the first time earlier this week, but I am still planning to post two new creative prompts per week for free forever (or until I run out of ideas and my prompts descend to total garbage.) In addition to that, I’ll be making some new types of content available to paid subscribers (see below). I’ve intentionally priced at the cheaper end of the market, as I don’t want that to be a barrier for anyone who wants to access all of my content.
Here’s a little button to use if you wish to explore my different subscription plans:
Note: As my little thank you to those who have been most active in energizing this community with likes/comments/chatposts, I’d like to provide you with the benefits of a paid membership, free of charge, for the next three months. I’ll be reaching out separately on that front.
#3 WHAT’S COMING NEXT?
A lot more free prompts!
2+ additional subscriber-only prompts each week, including one “IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE” with high replay value for continuous use
DOT, the Promptkeeper: imagine if you had your own private ChatGPT site pre-populated with all the prompts on this substack. Wouldn’t that be cool? :)
The Thought Experiments: An AI-enabled interactive philosophical novel that comes with a GPT concierge to guide you through it.
#4 THANK YOU AGAIN!
Because I REALLY value your support.
#5 AND JUST ONE REQUEST
I would love to hear more from you. Please comment, contribute to our community’s chat threads, or send me a message with your thoughts and ideas. I would love to get more feedback from you on what prompts to write in the future!
